Skinacea's Four Golden Rules
Rule No. 4: Always look for product reviews
Ever go into a store and wonder if a certain product will actually do what it claims to do? Like those Clearasil commercials that claim their cleanser or spot treatment will clear your skin in 3 days, guaranteed? Well, chances are when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
The best way to figure out if a product can live up to its claims is to check for reviews. The internet makes this so convenient!Drugstore.com and various other sites offer many product reviews for free.
In the past, I wasted so much money on useless products that now I'm determined to only buy things that are worth it. Therefore, I always do my homework by looking up ingredient lists online and reading product reviews before going to the store to buy any new item. This has really helped me keep my skincare resolution. Besides letting me know how other people are liking (or disliking) a certain product, reviews can even teach me different ways of using a product to make it even better.
However reviews can be inaccurate, so read them with an open eye. Everyone’s skin is different and what works for some people may or may not work for you and vice versa. Some reviews are even puffed up by sneaky skincare company employees! Generally speaking though, I find most reviews to be pretty accurate. At the very least, when a product gets a negative rating from everyone, I’ll be sure to stay away!
Hopefully after reading this rather long article, you will have learned how Skinacea’s Four Golden Rules will help you do a better job choosing good products for your skin!
